ArcGIS Utility Network
The network data model and toolset in ArcGIS for electric, gas, water, wastewater and telecom networks. It holds devices, lines and assemblies with connectivity rules, traces flow through the network, keeps subnetworks such as circuits and pressure zones current, and is edited by many users on desktop, web and mobile.

How to read maturity and confidence
Maturity · how much it covers
- core
- What the product is built around; the capability is covered end to end.
- strong
- Covered well, with a few gaps a buyer would notice.
- partial
- Covers part of the capability; expect to pair it with something else.
- emerging
- New or thin; on the roadmap more than in the product.
Confidence · how well it is evidenced
- Evidence confidence: high
- The vendor's own documentation describes this module doing it.
- Evidence confidence: medium
- Documented, but how far it reaches into the capability is our reading.
- Evidence confidence: low
- Our judgment; we found no public page that confirms it.

Network Data Model
Evidence confidence: highMaturity: coreA modeled network of devices, lines, junctions and assemblies per domain, with the attributes and real-world behavior each asset type needs.

Network Topology and Rules
Evidence confidence: highMaturity: coreConnectivity, containment and attachment between features, kept consistent by rules and validation so the connected model stays fit for tracing.
- PC-430.30
Network Tracing
Evidence confidence: mediumMaturity: coreConnected, upstream, downstream, subnetwork, isolation, loop and path traces that follow flow through the network from chosen starting points.

Subnetwork Management
Evidence confidence: mediumMaturity: strongCircuits, pressure zones and similar groups traced back to their controllers, marked dirty when edits touch them and refreshed on update.

Network Diagrams
Evidence confidence: mediumMaturity: partialSchematic views generated from the network to check connectivity and show its logical structure without geographic scale.

Utility Network Editing
Evidence confidence: mediumMaturity: strongMultiuser editing in enterprise deployments, with templates that place related groups of assets in one step, keeping the record current as work is built.
- PC-430.70
Field Maps for Utility Networks
Evidence confidence: mediumMaturity: strongMobile access to the network for crews, with named traces, association views and feature edits on site, including offline work with some limits.
