    Recall-to-Resolution

Carry a product safety or quality problem from the first signal through the recall decision and any report owed to the regulator, removal from stores, warehouses and online, customer notice and refunds, to recovered costs and a fixed cause. Where Shelf-to-Basket (VS-110) handles ordinary returns, this acts across the whole network at once.

    1. 01

      Assess & Report

      VS-350.10

Gather the evidence, identify affected products, lots and dates, decide whether a report to the regulator is due (in some regimes within a day), and decide on recall or withdrawal with the supplier, or alone for own-brand goods.

    2. 02

      Stop the Sale

      VS-350.20

Block the products at the till and online, quarantine them in stores and warehouses, and stop open orders and replenishment.

    3. 03

      Notify Customers

      VS-350.30

Tell customers whose purchases are known directly, issue public notice in stores and media on the terms agreed with the regulator, and answer inquiries.

    4. 04

      Take Back & Refund

      VS-350.40

Accept returns at any channel, refund or replace under the recall terms, and hold recalled units for destruction or return to the supplier, never for resale.

    5. 05

      Recover the Costs

      VS-350.50

Return or destroy stock under the supplier agreement, recover refunds, handling and lost margin from the supplier, and claim on recall insurance where held.

    6. 06

      Close the Cause

      VS-350.60

Confirm the corrective action, update quality requirements, and report recall progress and effectiveness where the regulator requires it.
