Business Capability

Something the organization must be able to do to deliver its outcomes, named for what it achieves rather than for how it is done, who does it or which system supports it.
Often confused with a process, a department or an application. Each of those realizes a capability; none of them is one. This catalog names capabilities as Title Case noun phrases and gives each a scope boundary.
