Building Block
GL-690
A reusable component of an architecture, such as a capability, service or package of functions, defined by what it provides and its interfaces so it can be combined with others.
TOGAF separates architecture building blocks, which say what is needed, from solution building blocks, which are the products or components chosen to provide it.
