Value Stream Mapping
GL-070 · also VSM
A lean technique for drawing how work, material and information actually flow through a process, with wait times and handoffs, so delays and steps that add no value become visible and can be removed.
Shares a name with the business architecture Value Stream but works at a different grain: it maps one concrete flow as it runs today, timings included, rather than a stable stakeholder view.
