Business Outcome

A measurable change in results the organization wants, such as faster order delivery or lower cost to serve, stated independently of the projects or systems expected to produce it.
Not the same as an output. Delivering a system is an output; the outcome is the change it causes, and benefits tracking checks whether that change happened.
